Reiki is a natural system of healing that can bring clarity and balance to the most hectic of lifestyles. It can ease pain, both physical and mental. It can bring you energy when you need it most; it can uplift you; it can bring you closer to your true self.
During a Reiki session, the healer channels a completely natural stream of energy through a sequence of hand positions. The length of time the healer remains in one position is determined by the flow of energy and is unique to each person.
A full treatment lasts about an hour; Distance Reiki tends to be quicker, typically around half an hour.
On my site I've included a brief article on 'Reiki and Working with Spirit' which aims to address the perceived gap between mediumship and healing (and it is only a perceived gap). 'On Energy Healing' gives a brief explanation of what it is I do. There is also a suggested reading list, which gives what I consider to be recommendations that will give you a firm basis in the art of Reiki.
Please note that I am also qualified to teach Reiki and am happy to do so. A day spent learning about and being introduced to Reiki energy is an uplifting way to learn how to treat yourself, and others. In Reiki II you learn the first three Reiki symbols, which allows you to treat people, animals and situations distantly; in Reiki III/Teacher level you learn the Master symbol and learn how to initiate others and so continue the Reiki lineage.
